Our Community includes you.

Orem Community Church is a warm and welcoming community of faith in the heart of Utah County. We believe that love is more important than dogma. We have diverse beliefs—and we believe that diversity makes us an even better, more loving community!

Our doors are open wide to everyone seeking authentic faith. Your questions and doubts are welcome! We won’t pretend to have all the answers.

FAQs

  • At OCC, we believe all sorts of things! We have no official dogma or doctrines because every person is on their own faith journey, and none of us are so enlightened that we know the full truth. We are much more interested in supporting you in your journey than telling you what you need to believe.

  • Our services are meant to give you a chance to connect--with God and with our community. We won't assume you know our traditions and practices. The pastor will tell all in attendance what we're doing and how to do it. You can participate as much or as little as you like.

The service will include opportunities to learn, pray/meditate, and sing.

  • Yes!
We are very aware of the pain and trauma that religion has caused the LGBTQ+ community. That is why we support and affirm you without qualification! We believe that's what Christ would do. It's that simple.

  • We belong to the United Church of Christ, a socially progressive mainline Protestant Christian denomination with historical and confessional roots in the Congregational, Restorationist, Continental Reformed, and Lutheran traditions, and with approximately 4,600 churches and 712,000 members. More information can be found at ucc.org.
